The Business Analyst II position translates basic business needs into application software requirements.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Analyzes business needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs.
Determines specific business application software requirements to address specific business needs. Works with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing.
Acts as liaison with users of the software to address questions/issues.
Review/respond to adhoc inquires and requests from various state agencies including backup data.
Support implementation of new state contractual requirements as it relates to operations.
Develop business requirements as part of the Business Rules Documents (BRDs) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new state programs and other processes/initiatives.
Requires a BS/BA degree, 3-5 years related business analysis experience, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Requires strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, problem-solving skills, facilitation skills, and analytical skills.
Must be proficient – advanced level in MS Excel
Proficient with MS Access
Three years of healthcare experience/background
Knowledge/experience with FACETS a plus
Ability to interpret data- analytical skills
