Digital Product Development Director - Medicare
: This position can be located within a 50-mile radius of an Anthem office
The Digital Product Development Director will be responsible for participating in all phases of the design and development life cycle of analytic models, applications, and supporting tools, as well as providing consulting support to program portfolio sponsors with the end goal of developing product(s) for commercialization.
Primary duties may include but are not limited to:
Responsible for generating product concepts, leading product development initiatives, and partnering with clients and matrix partners to deliver product solutions for new and existing Medicare markets.
Leads strategy and implementation of new products or product changes/enhancements for all Medicare segments and regions.
Responsible for providing day to day leadership of digital product management associates and initiatives.
Lead the design and execution of data science product development; must be able to collaborate and communicate effectively with technical and business-oriented resources, including Data Scientists, Enterprise Architects, Data Engineers, API Engineers, Healthcare SMEs, etc.
Monitors product performance and the competitive environment to ensure products meet competitive and legislative needs.
Adheres to product development policies and processes to guide product development.
Serves as a product expert and a relationship manager to the core clients.
Coordinates presentation, communication, and implementation of all phases of product development.
Organizes and facilitates standard agile operating processes including research planning, capability needs, product roadmaps, release communication, and budget management.
Ensures all products are compliant with regulatory directives and state/federal laws and policies.
Ensures the organization meets its performance goals and that there is alignment across the execution teams, escalating and resolving issues impacting delivery.
Lead the design, implementation, and continuous delivery of an insights data pipeline supporting the development and operation of custom analytic products/services across the organization.
Collaborates with matrix partners across the company to deliver product solutions in a timely and effective manner
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Econometrics, Physics, Biostatistics or related Quantitative disciplines and minimum of 10 years of experience in at least one of the following areas: Advanced Analytics, Predictive Modeling, Data Architecture, Real-Time Applications, or BI Tools, as well as experience in Hadoop technologies or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Knowledge of health plan or managed care operations required.
Scaled agile experience required.
Strong relational database SQL skills; including optimization techniques, with knowledge of NoSQL concepts.
BA/BS degree in a healthcare related discipline such as Public Health Management, Healthcare Administration, Nursing or Health Sciences is highly preferred.
Prior direct to consumer and/or healthcare industry digital experience preferred.
Medicare experience preferred.
Ability to lead advanced analytics or solutions teams required.
Knowledge of predictive modeling methodologies such as Classification, Regression, Clustering, Model Selection, Feature Extraction or equivalent is preferred.
