Business Analyst III (Medicare Stars)

Responsible for serving as the liaison between the business and IT in translating complex business needs into application software.

How you will make an impact:

  • Analyzes complex end user needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs.

  • Determines specific business application software requirements to address complex business needs.

  • Develops project plans and identifies and coordinates resources, involving those outside the team.

  • Leading and developing project plans.

  • Monitoring and managing target lists and segmentation of clinical measures.

  • Defining scope of projects and managing technical expertise.

  • Monitoring project status and conducting status meetings.

  • Describing and defining advanced Excel formulas and pivot table functions.

  • Explaining SQL joins and functions.

  • Describing writing business requirements and performing intakes for other analytics teams.

  • Joining disparate data sources into consolidated reporting and work to automate reporting processes.

  • Analyzes complex end user needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs.

  • Develops project plans and identifies and coordinates resources, involving those outside the team.

  • Works cross functionally with data and business teams to meet goals and objectives.

  • Analyze data to identify areas of opportunities and improvement.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 5 years business analysis experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • Knowledge of systems capabilities and business operations is strongly preferred.

  • Medicare, PQA, Stars, or HEDIS experience preferred.

  • Strong communication and project management skills preferred.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office experience preferred.

  • Visio, SharePoint, Adobe experience a plus.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in various stages and complexity levels to completion preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills preferred.
