Please Note: This position may be filled at either the Trainer or Training Specialist level. Manager will determine level based upon the selected applicant’s skillset relative to the qualifications listed for this position

This position can sit at any Elevance office nationwide.

Trainer

The Trainer is responsible for facilitating a variety of performance-based learning events. Training is typically focused primarily on concrete skills related to training on processes and procedures, but may include soft skills content.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Facilitates learning events that are performance-based in nature and across multiple platforms.

• Delivers synchronous and asynchronous learning events using varied media in virtual and global environments.

• Employs rapid course development methodologies to quickly meet client needs.

• Exercises classroom management, including learner performance and escalates issues to Learning & Development and client leadership when necessary.

• Consults and solves learning solutions including: identifies client training needs, successfully uses performance consulting to analyze data and identify root cause to determine appropriate learning solutions, develops service level agreements and meets with clients to obtain approval.

• Measures, tracks and evaluates learner and client satisfaction.

• Thinks and acts globally and is aware of learning and cultural differences both domestically and globally that drive learner effectiveness.

• Keeps technical skills updated.

Training Specialist

The Training Specialist is responsible for facilitating a variety of performance-based learning events that may include, but are not limited to general associate, management, sales, clinical, technical and operations training. Training often focuses on more abstract, less concrete soft skills training meant to influence behavior and buy-in from others.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Virtually facilitate experiential learning events that are performance driven and skill-based in nature; areas of focus include the facilitation of new hire, new/cross skill, mandates, projects and business initiative training

• Expand learner performance to enable the Elevance Health's mission, vision, values

• Delivers synchronous and asynchronous learning events for the Commercial Provider Associates using varied media with heavy emphasis on virtual instructor-led training

• Exercises virtual classroom management, including learner performance and escalates issues to Learning & Development and business partner leadership when necessary

• Consults and solves learning solutions including: identifies training needs, successfully uses performance consulting to analyze data and identify root cause to determine appropriate learning solutions, develops service level agreements and meets with clients to obtain approval

• Measures, tracks and evaluates learner progression and business partner satisfaction

• Thinks and acts globally and is aware of learning and cultural differences both domestically and globally that drive learner effectiveness

• Keeps technical skills updated

• Practices immersion supporting business partners as well as maintaining /growing business acumen

Qualifications

Trainer Minimum Requirements:

• Requires BA/BS in related field and a minimum of 2 years of training experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent backgroun

• Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and/or internationally (may occur in 4-10 consecutive weeks) required.

Training Specialist Minimum Requirements:

• Requires BA/BS in related field; 3-5 years training experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

• Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and/or internationally (may occur in 4-10 consecutive weeks) required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience providing training for Commercial Member Service Associates.

• Knowledge of Commercial Member line(s) of business preferred (for instance Individual/Small Group, Large Group and/or National) a plus.

• Experience using WebEx (or equivalent) to facilitate virtual training.

• Experience using Microsoft Teams.

• Strong WGS/Solution Central acumen.

Annual Salary Range* Trainer: $53,200-$66,500

Annual Salary Range* Training Specialist: $65,200-$81,500

Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.
