Title: Business Analyst II/ Business Analyst III for the Program Integrity Division.

(There is only 1 open position at this time and the level of the candidate hired will be determined based on level of experience)

Preferred Location(s): Virginia, Georgia, Ohio, Indiana, Missouri, Texas (will consider other locations)

Status: Work from home, Full-time, Bonus Potential

The Program Integrity division focuses on ensuring accurate financial claims processing and reducing admin costs to bring the best value to the health care program. The Diversified Business Group (DBG) Advanced Analytics and Services team focuses on combining optimized processes with best-in-class technology to bring the most value to Program Integrity.

The Business Analyst II translates basic business needs into application software requirements.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyzes business needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs.

  • Determines specific business application software requirements to address specific business needs. Works with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing.

  • Acts as liaison with users of the software to address questions/issues.

    The Business Analyst III is responsible for serving as the liaison between the business and IT in translating complex business needs into application software.

    Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyzes complex end user needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs.

  • Determines specific business application software requirements to address complex business needs.

  • Develops project plans and identifies and coordinates resources, involving those outside the unit.

  • Works with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing.

  • Acts as a resource to users of the software to address questions/issues.

  • May provide direction and guidance to team members and serves as an expert for the team.

  • Facilitate and lead meetings to review issues, findings and/or recommendations for improvement.

  • Translate capabilities/features into vetted user stories with acceptance criteria.

  • Develop and execute test cases.

  • Leverage process improvement methodologies/techniques to eliminate waste, duplication and stream-line processes.

  • Acts as a mentor to peers, providing training as necessary.

  • May make recommendations based upon data analysis.

    Ability to travel maybe required.

Qualifications

Business Analyst II Requirements

  • BA/BS degree

  • Minimum of 5 years business analysis experience

  • Any combination of education and experienced, which would provide an equivalent background.

    Business Analyst III Requirements

  • BS/BA degree

  • 5-7 years of business analysis experience

  • Any combination of education and experienced, which would provide an equivalent background

    Preferences:

  • Experience in Atlassian products such as JIRA, Confluence, and/or JIRA Align.

  • Healthcare industry experience a plus.

  • Experience with Agile or Business Process and Analysis methodologies.

  • Experience writing SQL queries a plus.

  • Excellent in writing effective documentation including but not limited to requirements, process flow maps, and use cases.

  • Ability to work independently as well as within a goal-oriented team.

  • MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint proficiency.

  • In-depth knowledge of WGS or Facets Claims processing and/or adjusting a plus.

  • Strong communication, presentation and problem solving skills.

  • Strong organizational skills in order to stay on top of multiple competing business needs.

  • Ability to manipulate large sets of data is strongly preferred.

  • People skills, with the ability to engage diplomatically with stakeholders and communicate changes that may not be aligned with the original expectations.

  • Ability to travel maybe required.
