Medicare Star Analyst
The Medicare Star Analyst supports achievement of Star goals through analysis of opportunities to improve member experience across the care continuum, improve care and service delivery, and close clinical gaps-in-care. The analyst is responsible for analyzing structured data from multiple sources, coordinating and facilitating performance monitoring and reporting, and researching and synthesizing opportunities for improvement to business stakeholders.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Generates reports and analyses to support internal stakeholder needs including quality management, network management, sales, account management, and other key functions. Analyses may incorporate multiple data sources, including, but not limited to: clinical gaps-in-care, member surveys, network and provider performance, operational data, etc.
Performs business data analysis and reporting in response to requests from internal and external stakeholders, providers and/or regulatory agencies.
Serves as a technical and Star subject matter expert and liaison between functional areas to support data requests and analyses and ensure uniform and consistent information and information flow.
Acts as a liaison with the assigned technical analyst completing the report, the requesting department and/or stakeholder, and clarifies requirements and business objectives to ensure that it meets the stakeholder’s needs.
Assists in leading cross-functional teams for collaboration on measure improvement. Organizes and documents meeting minutes and action items during Star-related meetings.
Uses internally available software and self-service analytical tools.
May be responsible for enhancements and testing.
- Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field,3-5 years of CMS Star, clinical quality, healthcare quality improvement, or healthcare analytics experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Experience and knowledge of Medicare Star preferred.
