This position will support the business (specialty pharmacy clinical strategies) on the development, implementation and tracking of an integrated portfolio of projects or initiatives. The individual will be responsible for applying project management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project deliverables, processes, and systems.
Primary duties may include; but are not limited to:
Manages the development, approval and implementation of multiple programs within the business unit
Manages the development of a planning documents, processes and work flows
Develops program budget; partners with sponsors to secure program and funding approval
Ensures program meets its stated objectives; provides subject matter expertise in response to day to day business issues
Manages and monitors ROI throughout the program lifecycle; tracks and manages time and budget against plan
Defines program team roles and responsibilities; develops work plan structure and project schedule; develops deployment plan
Provides performance feedback to team members and resource managers
Maintains issue log; facilitates resolution of issues; executes communication plans; regularly reports status of reports
Creates and maintains databases to track business performance
Analyzes data and summarizes performance using summary statistical procedures
Develops and analyzes business performance reports (e.g. for claims data, provider data, utilization data) and provides notations of performance deviations and anomalies
Creates and publishes periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports
Researches applicable subject matter practices and remains aware of industry trends
Manages relationships and partners with corporate and regional business areas; develops program success measures and performs periodic assessments of program success
BA/BS in a related field
3-5 years professional project/program management experience, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio expertise
Pharmacy Industry experience preferred/ Healthcare experience preferred
Ability to create an effective team environment, build strong relationships, solving problems and issues in a matrix environment and communicate effectively at all levels of an organization
Experience working in a lead role on multiple projects
Experience creating ad hoc reports
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
