This position can be filled at Systems Analyst I, II, Sr., or Advisor level. The hiring manager will determine the level, based on the candidate’s experience and background.

Responsible for defining and managing the scope of Business Systems projects.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

Systems Analyst I

  • Defines both the functional and non-functional requirements of a system and acts as a liaison between the business and IT.

  • Creates and executes feature test cases and ensures feature testing effectively validates that the system meets the functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Assists in the translation of the business requirements into implementation details and ensures design meets performance, usability, reliability and scalability requirements in addition to the functional requirements.

  • Provides support during the integration and acceptance testing phases and implementation.

  • Provides training and procedure development support to operational projects as requested

Systems Analyst II

  • Defines the functional, usability, reliability, performance and support requirements of a system serves as a business subject matter expert, and act as a liaison between the business and IT.

  • Provides the link between the technical and the business views of the system by ensuring that the technical solutions being developed will satisfy the needs of the business.

  • Leads system requirements definition, design, testing, training and implementation support. Applies use of tools to define requirements and documentation.

  • Provides analysis of efficiencies related to system enhancements/automation.

  • Works with IT learning organization to assist in the development of system training documentation and provides training to end users. Assists with developing use cases.

Systems Analyst Sr.

  • Manages integrated functionality, usability, reliability, performance and support requirements of a system.

  • Creates feature test strategies and environment needs.

  • Provides the link between the technical and business views of the system by ensuring that the technical solutions being developed will satisfy the needs of the business.

  • Applies and mentors use of tools to define requirements.

  • Anticipates and identifies opportunities for improvement.

  • Ensures high level designs including architecture requirements are accurately documented and map to approved requirements.

  • Assists in developing training documentation and proactive identification of additional documentation needs.

Systems Analyst Advisor

  • Defines functional, usability, reliability, performance and support requirements of a system.

  • Creates and performs feature testing and determines environmental needs.

  • Provides the link between the technical and business views of the system by ensuring that the technical solutions being developed will satisfy the needs of the business.

  • Partners with business , architecture and infrastructure and oversees all service levels to ensure business area satisfaction. In depth knowledge of tools utilized.

  • Works with the IT learning organization to mentor and assist in training initiatives and performs estimates for application functionality enhancements.

  • Proactively works with stakeholders to identify future system opportunities and enhancements.

  • Develops use cases.

Qualifications

Systems Analyst I

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires AA/AS degree in computer science or information systems or related field of study. 1 year experience systems engineering, system testing or systems analysis experience strongly preferred.

Systems Analyst II

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and minimum of 1 year related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Systems Analyst Sr.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 3 years experience with documenting requirements and/or building test cases for a variety of technologies; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience testing/product quality processes tools and methods strongly preferred.

  • Project management experience and training in facilitation strongly preferred.

Systems Analyst Advisor

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 6 years experience in a variety of technologies, documenting requirements and/or building test cases; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst certifications strongly preferred.

  • Experience with mainframe computer, hardware and operating systems and the impacts of changes in the systems stream, testing/product quality processes, tools and methods strongly preferred.

  • Experience with Rational tools, Six Sigma or other process improvement training strongly preferred.
