We are searching for a Cloud Architect supporting Anthem subsidiaries in digitizing our business models to multi-cloud. The individual will assist business and IT teams in developing multi-cloud strategies and roadmaps moving our current and future assets to cloud technologies. They will play a key role in leading and influencing the subsidiary cloud transformation working closely with the Anthem subsidiaries and Anthem enterprise services. The ideal candidate will have multi-cloud knowledge, well versed in differing cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM Cloud) and communication skills allowing them to collaborate with multiple levels of the organization.

Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Lead cultural change for cloud adoption

  • Develop, document and coordinate cloud architecture across business units

  • Develop cloud strategies/roadmaps and coordinates the adoption across the enterprise

  • Offer guidance in infrastructure movement techniques

  • Architect cloud-native, hybrid, or multi-cloud solutions

  • Experience migrating from legacy systems, deploying in cloud-based solutions

  • Experience with microservices, functions, event-driven or other cloud native architectures

  • Ability to navigate complex organizations, building trust and credibility with those organizations

  • Strong communication skills with ability to translate complex technical topics to senior stakeholders

  • Assist business unit cloud teams in ensuring cloud architectures align with enterprise architectures and roadmaps

  • Develop, document cloud processes and procedures impacting business units

  • Recommend and participate in governance practices as they relate to cloud implementation

Qualifications

Minimum requirements

  • Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 8 years of experience in information technologies with 6 years of experience in architecture/design in relevant technology disciplines; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • 3+ Years of experience using AWS, GCP and/or Azure

  • Experience using monitoring solutions like CloudWatch and Splunk

  • Experience in IT security standards

Preferred qualifications

  • AWS Certifications a plus

  • Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture practices and Solution Architecture

  • Knowledge of business process re-engineering principles and processes

  • Strong understanding of network architecture and application development methodologies

  • Healthcare domain is preferred

  • Practical knowledge and experience with Agile and SAFE principles and processes.
