Configuration Engineer Advisor

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for supporting the test environments used to support Regional, Enterprise and/or other special project releases.

  • Leads customer workgroups in defining environment requirements and maintains design documentation to reflect changes, additions and enhancements to test environments.

  • Analyzes and makes recommendations to improve performance of test environments and coordinates with other groups the upgrading of test environments to support production and/or product changes.

  • Leads overall design of test environments and environment build efforts for Enterprise efforts.

  • Leads Project/Release support efforts around data management, code management or job management.

  • May perform code migrations and prepare, merge, and version code for production builds.

  • Participates in ad-hoc committees to support Enterprise efforts and interacts with technical business partners and project and release management to meet business objectives.

  • Supports on-call team members for Enterprise projects and releases.

  • Handles/prioritizes work group assignments, staffing, manages work group workflow and provide mentoring.

  • Creates build properties and processes prior to testing.

Configuration Engineer Advisor

Minimum Requirements

  • Requires a BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and minimum of 6 years of IT experience, including application development experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Requirements

  • Multiple trade certifications and multi-platform experience is strongly preferred.

  • Rational Unified Process and Rational Tool Suite experience strongly preferred.
